I found a summer job!! YEAH!

So I interviewed at this place that does summer camps for youth groups and special needs groups. They have the kids doing a rotation of a challenge course, swimming, some other stuff and EQUESTRIAN! One of my friends recently found out that she can't work there this summer because she is taking over the management of the barn she boards at so she referred me to the director. I had two interviews and met the horses and yesterday they emailed me and said they wanted me to be on their team!!!

Basically, my job will be as a riding instructor to beginners and kids who have never been on horses before. I will also be helping out around the barn doing barn chores etc., tacking up, teaching how to groom, wash, tack up and things like that, and then do guided trail rides for groups that sign up.

I'm so excited! I love kids and of course I LOVE horses so this is the perfect job for me! I am going to be overseeing the rest of the staff because I have more experience than most of them, even though this will be my first summer!

Cookies to all who read. I'm just so excited!

That's great!!!! The job sounds wonderful! I need to find a job like that, but there aren't very many opportunities around here. :)

Thanks guys! I was so lucky to stumble upon this opportunity.

They said it will be a recurring job if I do well. Which will be nice because I will be home in the summers from college with nothing to do. haha. I am getting this job to save up board for this barn: Home - Three-Day Farm Can't afford full board but their pasture board is super nice. Demi likes being outside anyway :)

Woohoo thats fantastic! Can't ask for a better summer job than that. You get to help horses and kids, plus get paid for it

Lucky! I'll probably end up working at Publix or something for the summer. Ha ha.
All the horsey jobs around here are either super far away or don't pay enough to be worth it.
Have fun!

I give myself very good advice, But I very seldom follow it
