I love my farrier!!!
My farrier came out earlier to shoe the fronts of both my mare and my geldng. He got my mare done fairly quickly... she gave him the usual 'wanting to tug away' problems, but was good.
Before he could start on my gelding, thogh, it came one of those 'summer showers' with the extremely cold rain... and it didn't lighten up much. He waited a bit, but when it idn't lighten up any, he finished shoeing my gelding in the rain (my gelding [3 years old, first shoeing ever] was perfect, he just got a little antsy at the end).
My farrier normally charges 35 dollars per horse for fronts. I was sure that He was going to charge me about 80 or 90 dollars, because he had to finish in the rain and got soaked... but instead, he took off 10 dollars and I only had to pay 60 dollars! He didn't tell me why he charged me less, either... Just laughed and said that he hadn't had to shoe a horse in the rain in a long time.
