So wonderful. It's seems to be the year for people having these things happen (one person at my current stable and another at my old stable). I'm glad to finally see someone get back up on the horse.

Thanks to everyone who can understand how big this was for me, and for realizing what a gem Gibbs is, maybe if I had let a trainer buy my horses before I would be in a totally different place.

I give thanks everyday that Gibbs came into my life the day before the accident, if he hadn't of been here I don't know what would be happening now. When I test rode him I knew that he would need some work, but also just felt that I could trust him. That feeling of trust is still there, it is just going to be a process of building on it and being able to do everything I want on him. Given we are both out of shape, lots of walking is a great start.

Now looking at the next steps, it has been brutally cold here for a few days, and the snow isn't down yet, so the ground is rock hard, not fancying riding on that, so will have to haul him out to ride, SIGH
