I am really happy for you! I just got my new horse, and when I went to try him out the saddle's stirrups were too long, and the owners didn't have an arena and everything was frozen over so I couldn't do much either. I also bought him with only one visit. I was extremely nervous but it turned out really well, hope the same works out for you.

That's really great to hear! I'm nervous too, but super excited :)

I just figured, I went to see several other horses and had more successful rides, but I didn't like those horses as much.. Even though the ride didn't go all that great, I still liked her better than the other, older, more experienced horses.

I hope you enjoy your new horse as well! :)

Okay so let me just start off by saying today went pretty well :) It was a long, kind of overwhelming day (and my brain is a little fried) but it was good.

She loaded in the trailer perfectly, and was extremely calm when we took her in for the vet check. Even when we had to stay there for what felt like 10 hours, but was really only a few hours.. She was off a little in her front left leg, so they took a few radiographs and blocked off her hoof and fetlock, and figured out that she probably has a little issue in the soft tissue of her fetlock, but that it shouldn't give her any problems. Her joint looked great, the bones looked great, and she moved a lot better after they blocked her fetlock. (She really wasn't too bad to begin with but we wanted to be safe)

So basically, all she needs is for her fetlock to be iced and sweated for 4 to 5 days and she should be good. But I should be able to ride her tomorrow or the next day :)

I was just so amazed at how chill she is, nothing seemed to bother her, she never got spooky (except for when we went to put her in the trailer after the vet check, but it wasn't a huge deal) She was just very quiet :)

I took some pictures of her, they aren't fantastic, but they'll have to do for now. She's being kept at a friends house who has an arena for now, but hopefully I'll be bringing her home soon.

I don't understand why the pictures are sideways, what is the deal with that? They aren't sideways on my computer..

Reading my previous post, I don't think I stressed enough about how much I already love her :) She's just incredibly sweet and has a sweet temperament.

Also, I don't know what to name her.. I really don't think Rolex fits her.. Her registered name is Bootlegger's Tillie, but I don't think that really fits her either.. I kind of thought of calling her Kismet, which means fate, but I'm not sure..
