I'd like a world class quality APHA or AQHA ready to show - something that'll be competive in Open & Ammy western pleasure, showmanship, western riding, and trail. Would be really great if this fantasy horse had the size and movement to dabble in hunter under saddle, too...

The QH gelding I leased when I was 15. He was hands down the best horse I have ever met. If I could find out where he was I would buy him in a second. He was my heart horse.

I already have him. If I had to chose another, there was a turf horse awhile back named Yagli who had what looked like the most comfortable canter in the world. Would love to have sat on him.

I would choose Duke <3, he was my heart horse but he passed away last year.

I'm sorry to hear that WesternRider88. My heart horse Bagheera passed away earlier this year. I'd bring him back in a heart beat, as well, if I could.

Hmmm...Since this is a fantasy thread, these are the ones I'd bring back from the dead:

My sister's grade pinto mare, Joey, that pretty much taught me how to ride.

Dixie my first pony. I rode the hair off of that pony and I don't think she or I knew the meaning of walk.

Star a retired barrel racing mare and the first horse I bought as an adult and out on my own. Every one that knew her pretty much hated her because she was a hot headed b. but her and I just clicked and I loved that mare. I hung out at the horse farm where she was being used as a broodmare and one day after she kicked Mrs. farm owner she told me to buy her and get her off the place or she was going to the sale barn. LOL

Gracie, I bought her as a yearling from the same farm as above. She was such a sweet mare and I used her for my "anyone can ride" horse. She gave me 4 sons over her lifetime and I still have 3 of them because I can't stand the thought of letting them go. The only reason I sold her #2 son was because I let a friend talk me into letting her buy him. He'll live out his life on her place being well loved and well taken care of.

(the sorrel standing closest to the camera)

Cherokee...I called her the little pony that could. She was gaited and I actually bought her to put some time on her and resell but she wormed her way into my heart and became a permanent resident.

This is the only picture of her that I have a quick link to. She's the one in the fly mask with her filly standing behind her.

And while I'm at it, I'd turn back the clock for JC. My vote for the BEST HORSE EVER. He was Star's last foal and he's 28 now and retired. I've lived with him longer than any other creature, man or beast. We've covered a lot of trail miles together.

In his younger years (I think this was taken when he was about 18. LOL) He's on the right and that's Gracie's #1 son on the left.

My own! I didn't pay much for her, but I wouldn't trade that psycho for anything!

On a more serious note; there aren't many people who I can relate to in this world, but her and I are like peas and carrots. I never used to be a very happy kid, and I always struggled with my mental wellness, and I had a lot of days when giving up just seemed like the only option. But then an emaciated little Standardbred wandered into my life. A three year old who was slaughter bound. She hated to be near people, didn't want to be touched, and she ate her food as quickly as she could, almost like if she was afraid someday she wouldn't get anymore. If anyone had a reason to give up, it was her. But she never did. The more her health improved, the more time we spent working together, and the more we bonded. We're inseparable. And every time I look at her, I remember what she used to be and see how happy she is now. I rescued her and she returned the favour.

Thank you for feeding us years of lies. Thank you for the wars you left us to fight. Thank you for the world you ruined overnight. But we'll be fine, yeah we'll be fine.
