She has very good advice. Again coming the background I come from, I would strongly advise for her not to go there. Have the guy come down. If he is serious he will do it. It's a world expectation to have the guy come to see her and not the other way around. I'm surprised she isnt concerned at all to go out of her way and spend so much money to see someone she has never met in real life.

I would love to meet her and explain to her in detail what this type of "deal" can lead to.
The reason he wont come and meet her, is that he claims to have no money. Well little amount. She has always wanted to travel... so I think she is seeing this as a perfect opportunity. I just wish she will snap out of it.

Updated news!!
She emailed me a mag with all these rings in there. He wants to buy her a ring, to show how serious he is. Looks look my 4h convo on the phone to her, finally convinced her to ask him a few questions.... what I dont understand, is that he is willing to pay 5k on a ring, rather then buy a ticket to Australia...

I hate to say this, but she is a easy target (since her husband died). She is that desperate to be loved again... she is going to end up hurt....

Geesh DW that really makes you want to give her a good slap and a shake! Does she have the words "Target" stamped on her forehead? Did she receive a sum of $$ after her husbands death by chance? Sounds like he may be after something other than true love. If she is that desperate maybe she should offer to pay for him to come to Australia and see what his reaction is. If he takes the money and runs at least she is only out the cost of a plane ticket.

Wow, that sure is odd of the guy. Can't get a plane ticket, yet he can blow a lot of money on a ring... That's a bit crazy. :(

Ride more, worry less.

Yeah that does sound fishy to me too.
You would think he would be more eager to visit her with his money than to send a ring...

Has no money?! Thats a bunch of BULL if I ever heard of any. If he doesnt have money to come down and see her, where is he finding the money to get her a ring?

I really feel sorry for her. A guy who acts like that (like a child) and isnt honest and lies to her about "no money" should just be locked up. He's just playing games with her.
