Cool It's been a year!

Looks like it's been a year or a year and a few days, since bringing home my second wild Corolla.

First third of the year was chaos, but after castration, things settled down. He has bit, kicked, killed a lamb, beat the tar out of his face, gotten many small battle wounds, got hot and full of hormones and then started to calm down, but not w/o the occasional issue, like breaking a board in the barn or forgetting how hot wire works. He has been more trouble than all my others combined, oh the excitement!

He is a crazy slow pellet eater, I'm still not fully over that, lol. Maybe he will out grow it, who knows. He's a very mellow and indifferent horse, not crazy over food or spooky or a turd.

Anywho, here are some pictures of Phoenix.

Such a cutie, and great photos!

Don't judge someone's horse or skill because they don't compete or work with a trainer.

Sometimes they're the most in tune with each other.

Cute pictures!
I gotta ask a question though, are you strip grazing, with just a low rope?

They live on a track system, that pic was when I added a cut through so I could practice riding in a continual loop instead of having to double back or go up/down the hills.

White tape is at the right height for my older gelding, then there is a bare wire lower under it for the minis. I started swapping the old top wire to tape when the baby gelding was going to be moved in so that he could see it. The others know that a row of white posts means there's more than likely a fence there.

Some more pics of it-
