It's an occupational hazard, lol

I learned why I never wear pull over sweatshirts or zip them up to run Selena.

Because when this happens:

I find myself running home with my shirt hooked over my horn, and trying to sit down across the timers so she slows...Terrifying to say the least!

I come out and get it unzipped and my friend just laughs and says "Yeah, it's an occupational hazard. Unzip it next time."

I don't know why I find this so funny, because this happens to me so often I should have learned by now....

Look at Selena too, she's like "Fasten your seatbelt Mom! We're going home!"

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

zips & hoodies

Love your crazy pic- you & your girl are rockin' !! This happened to me at a show & I had to pretend that I was hugging and saying "good girl" to my sweetie- till I could find a corner to unhook myself !! Someone just told me that's why western riders in early days had shirts with snaps - as they wouldn't rip the buttons- okay- that makes sense !!

I've had that happen. Nothing like barreling towards the timers and realizing you can't use your seat to slow them. Before I run I tuck the front of my sweat shirt in my jeans, it looks dorky, but it works!

Thanks! For being so little she really can bust it out.

That does make sense! I never thought of that!

Wow look at her go! The only thing I have had hook on the saddle horn was my bra... but that is another story lol! I am glad everything went alright!

I once took lessons with a gal who went to rope a steer, got her bra hooked, and tore her shirt open in the middle of the arena! It was crazy, but she didn't even bat an eye. Just kept going for it! I wish I had that kind of resolve lol
