LOL Hubby is so proud of this creation. Me? I need a beer!

No seriously, it was fun holding boards for him.

BTW - by the looks of that gate in the pictures, I think we DID have too many beers!

Beer is always good! plus having a chill day building something with the hubby and having beer and goofing off? =perfect day!

You have to learn how to fall before you can learn how to ride~

I thought it was meant that way....since there is a little slope.....unless I had too many beers while looking at it.......

DHW- it is meant to be that way. I wanted the gate level with the post so it would stay when you open it and not swing closed as you were trying to lead a horse through it. This is EXACTLY why I designed it and not her

Thanks everyone....I really enjoyed doing this. Just kinda winged it...decided where we wanted to put it....measured 25 feet from center and tied a string around a pole, painted circumference of circle and went to it :) I really like the wood one as well. This only cost us about 500.00 to build compared to around 900.00 for a metal one. Not to bad for a 50 foot round pen ;)

nope, she at work today. Sokay, I will still catch hell for it when she gets home BUT.....she will be the first one to admit her skills in that area leave much to be desired/non-existent.

Thanks Critter - we are about half way between Gainesville and Cedar Key. We LOVE it here. July 1st will be two years since we moved from Pittsburgh. I have ZERO desire to go back north.
