Looking for the US groom of The Sunbird Hanover

I really had no idea where in the forum to put this and what the chance would be of finding a needle in a haystack, or someone who knows that needle.

I just know that over a decade ago the US groom of The Sunbird Hanover contacted our family about this horse, who had been exported to Australia from the US, to find out more about him, and then she dropped off the radar, probably because email addresses changed. I am hoping to rediscover her on the Internet, but I don't actually know her name, because I never emailed with her! I just heard that she was the young strapper to The Sunbird Hanover when he raced in the US in the mid-to-late 1980s. We have a lot of updated information about this horse, and his descendants. She said he was one in a million and her favourite horse ever, and I'm sure she would love photos of him and his descendants.

If anyone here knows any people 40+ who might have been around the US harness tracks in the mid-to-late 1980s, I would appreciate if they could ask around if anyone knows anyone connected to The Sunbird Hanover who perhaps would know the person who used to be his groom.

Thank you!

Good luck!

I rubbed a Bret Hanover colt, Gypsy Hanover, on the Grand Circuit one season. Great horse to be around.

A photo of The Sunbird Hanover:

Since this links to Google searches (as tagged appropriately), hopefully this thread will come up if the past groom ever decides to Google search by the horse's name!

Did you see this? Older but it might help.

If he raced in California then Wendi Wiener would be the person to contact. She's always floating around the net. She does have a facebook page.

Yeah, I replied to it! Chestnutmair might have been the groom in question, but she seemed to have left that forum before I made the belated reply.

So, does anyone know Mike Gagliardi, if he's still alive? He would know.

Thanks for the tip!

A quick google search says that he died in 1997.

Well, so that's not a track to follow. Anyway, like I said, the very fact that this thread is tagged properly means anyone looking for information on the horse should find a link to this thread!
