Loosing Our Connection?

SO, while I LOVE watching my trainer ride Solo because A) She gets a ton of his potiention out of him and he improves with every ride and B) He's going to be a great horse to ride by the time I get on him.

But part of me wonders.... is he forgetting our bond? Am I just the person who turns him out and gives him a treat here and there and tacks him up for his rides and makes him work inbetween rides sometimes with lunging?

Am I just the groom to him now?

He dosnt act any different towards me. He still nuzzles and play nips (bad boy!) and follows me after I lunge him, ect... but I worry that he is startig to see me as just that "caregiver" ya know?

The rider isn't the one with the connection, its the one that loves him, cares for him and gives him kisses every morning.

I think you're the one losing the bond, take a day dedicated to just him. I get like that some times, then once I spend one whole day just brushing, riding, and taking walks it's all better. I also think that riding is a huge part of your connection. <3 keep me updated

Why can't the trainer work with you and the horse on some of these training sessions instead of doing all the riding herself?
