Man versus Horse in Scotland

I hope that this link works, and that I'm allowed to post links to the BBC. I spotted this when cruising the news site just now. How much fun does that look?!

BBC News - In pictures: Athletes versus horses race in Highlands

Get up, get going, seize the day. Enjoy the sunshine, the rain, cloudy days, snowstorms, and thunder. Getting on your horse is always worth the effort.

Interesting for sure! I thought of something like that but never knew there was an actual competition. Or even a sprint type race. Wow, 26 km is quite a fair run for the human counterparts-no thanks! I agree I'd rather be on my horse for that one!

Oh we do short races like that all the time in the park. Sad thing is the senior citizens always loop us a couple times, but my mare swears she is walking out.

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.
