Not sure if this is where this post should go, but wanted to get it off my chest.
I'm working today in Russia (Samara) and the Samara Circus is right behind where I'm working. They're not doing a show but I wandered over to check it out and stumbled upon these guys:
I've been away for a few months and was pretty excited to see them.
Unfortunately, upon further inspection, they seem to be pretty underfed and have a lot of scars from what looks like ill-fitting tack. you can kind of see them on the first horse on the right.
I've been sneaking them snacks throughout they day, but I feel awful! And there isn't anything I can do.
What seems to be their trainer walked in at one point and they all started freaking out.
The people from the circus seem like nice people, I think things are just different over here.
