Might be getting my first horse

Hey guys, well I have been riding for 7 years and have part loaned horses before and have been to 4 riding schools.. im experienced in horse care.
Well I used to ride a horse named Mystery when I was about 12, I rode him for nearly 3 years but moved on to learn more and other riding schools.
He is 22 now and I'm almost 16, and he has been living out for about a year and the owner offered me him for free because she knows I love him and basically wants him to be sold now as he can't be used as a riding school horse anymore.

I am taking a 2 week trial to see if i can handle having my own horse.. truth is I'm really scared things will go wrong! Do you guys think I'm ready?
