I have a feeling your trainer, who said the QH's don't hold up, is one of many h/j people who, frankly, seem to have a predjudice against QH's-unless, of course, they are appendix, which this girl just may be. I will tell you that I have a friend who is a h/j judge (ohio and pa mainly) who has one herself, and this is her second QH. They are just great all around horses, imo. I had 2 as a kid-both h/j. They were great teachers. I have also had a great OTTB, who taught my could go with either. Frankly, I would have a much easier time spending $3500 on a 5 yo than $7000 on an ottb. Again, JMHO. Any of them would have to pass a vetting, I would think.......
Good luck!

Thanks for telling me!! I mean (not to be rude to her) I am not boarding at her barn, and I am not doing a bunch of shows, so I don't think she should care. And Mattie would be so perfect:) Now, my dad believes anything this lady says (she is the owner of the lesson barn), so I will have to try to explain to him:/....

You may not know, but on the farm we are moving to there is a old barn. It is very rustic and cool looking, especially since its been painted. Guess what though!? My dad had the worker people rip out the old concrete floor in the future feed/tack room, and pour a entire new one! So excited!

I love the QH, she looks like a GREAT jumper, I would really go for her, she looks really sweet too.

I also kind of liked the last thoroughbred, just the way he moved and how relaxed he seemed, he kind of looks like he needs a bit of work jumping.
