I was just reading a really similar conversation on another forum I belong to- people were asking about the frequency of replacing helmets (my "rule of thumb" is every 2 years if there wasn't a fall, but also after a fall). Here's that conversation

One question I had over there was whether or not there are organizations (4H, pony club) that still take "decommissioned" helmets to teacher kids about the inner workings by cutting the helmets up and studying the insides. Anyone know?
