Karlos is going a bit awsome! He had yesterday off, after riding all day for 2 days over the weekend and one was sweltering and the other we got stuck in a thunder storm. I can honestly say ive never seen a horse thats raced till he was 9 and not go mental at the racetrack. I have to say i was a bit teary proud =)

In 2 weeks he has established simple & flying changes, canter leads, can flex, turn on the forehand and on the HQ's and his collection through his HQ is coming on awsome! Now were getting Extensions (which are a bit woah).

His got a nice new set of shoes =D and his teeth were done, but they were really bad! So he is rolling his hay a bit and was struggling eating and lost a bit of wieght soo.. i pumped his feed up and its gaining again although he has a bot more fizz but thats ok. We are jumping aswell to mix it up a bit. =)

Thanks AztecBaby, i love him too. I am hoping for him to make a nice showhack he just doesnt have the flash looks compaired to what im up against but his movement is pretty cool! I will have to get more photos tomorrow (maybe tonight at whilst his eating dinner)

wow he has come a long way. I would love to teach Tess flying changes but dont know how. I spose we have to get the left canter lead right first!! she just wont pick it up at all! Doing the "dingy ag" shows with him yet lol ?

haha Nope not yet Got to find a truck i like first and then paint it...& btw i like the dinky ag shows, lol. It will be rather cool if i can start pulling out FC's in newcomer classes!

I teach them by having a pole in the center of a figure 8 and canter over it whilst exagertaing balance and giving the cues for a canter lead, it also helps to give a vioce command for example i kiss. Anyway they have to pick themselves up over the pole so if your helping balance them they will favour that lead as its easier! Sounds simple but its not. It helps if there above the bit a lil bit and if you raise the iside hand your asking the lead of. Another way is simple changes but cutting down the strides in between but i find thats hard to be consistant with..
