Mystery is gaining weight!!

My daughter just emailed me, and Mystery has gained 20 lbs. Not sure how much she needed to gain, pound wise, a lot I know, but I think 20 is great for a start. Anyone have any ideas on exactly how many pounds she probably needs? Melissa has an experienced horse lady helping her now, she suggested Purina Strategy, but we hate to change feeds unless we know the benefits will be worth it. her MIL did as she said, and bought all of Mystery's feed, and a bag of rice bran. I told her, she might not be in foal, we'll just have to see. I bought 4 bags, before I left. Oh, and she was only feeding 4 lbs twice a day. i guess I will never live that down, will I?

Okay, that mare is very thin, you can give her her body weight for the safeguard. In 2-3 wks give her her body weight with Panicure
This mare needs to be on Safechoice feed, you can get it at TSC
it is a low starch low sugar pellet
it is a 14% but it will NOT hype her very careful with this mare so she doesn't colic
you may want to put electrolytes in her feed for a few days, just to make sure she stays hydrated
This is what my daughter's new friend said, are Electrolytes liquid of pellet? Does this sound right? We're trying to do everything right. I might be wrong, but I thought Safeguard was Panacur.
