Wicked, never buy a horse because you pity it.

I understand how you feel, but you're not responsible for where this horse ultimately ends up.

I know... he could have stood out in the pasture and been loved. I have my buddy who is not going anywhere and this guy could just be a friend. Sometimes my heart speaks louder than my brain. I am not going to let that happen this time.

In talking to the breeder of this horse he originally sold for $5000 and was than dumped at a trader for $500 and seen 4 owners just this past 7 months. :(

That's a lot of work and expensive care for a pasture puff though. I can understand a horse that you have had for a long time and is a good friend that needs to be retired being turned into an expensive lawn ornament but I guess I'm coldhearted. I just can't imagine paying money for a horse with such a serious issue that I had no previous emotional connection with.

And I won't buy him... it just breaks my heart that these horses are still being bred and sold.

Reining, I call him Gargoyle Kitteh, although he looks more like a cross between a gremlin and a gargoyle.

Wicked, I feel your pain. But the sad truth is that we just can't, nor should, save them all.

I would never take one for free let alone pay for one.

I also don't think anyone should be supporting people who are still breeding N/H horses. If people would stop buying these positive horses, there would be no reason to keep breeding them. Not saying the person with this horse is the breeder...Just saying.

I've spent most my life riding horses...the rest i've just wasted.

Since he has sold so many times so quickly, I bet the horse is having symptoms and nobody is telling the truth.
Nope, don't get him, will be a heartache for you even trying to do the nice thing.
