FINALLY got pictures of my new little guy. He's a yearling (well, little over a year) MFT x TWH stud colt. Absolutely wonderful temperament, he's going to make an excellent, highly trainable gelding.
Only cons that I've found thus far is a straight shoulder, but he is gaited and I've found that a straight shoulder doesn't affect the gait like it would in an QH (choppier movement). His neck seems kinda short and he's a wee bit high rumped (not overly so, just a bit), but I'm betting he'll even out nicely.
For being in the gangly stage, he seems rather well balanced. He looks like he's going to be pretty good sized, with more of a light build. I'm really looking forward to watching him mature, especially when he gets into the three-four-five year old range and really gets into his 'adult' looks.
Now onto pictures! Unfortunately the sire is sold, so no pictures of him. I did meet and see him before, he was quite the handsome little devil. I did get two of his rather unphotogenic dam though.
Sire: Graying Black MFT out of a graying black. Unsure who his sire was.
Dam: Black/White Tobiano TWH by a homozygous...tricolor TWH? Unsure who her dam was. I THINK a dark bay mare.
He has that kinda funky white-eyed thing on one side, a bit like an Appy. Quirky!
