I let my sis read all your comments, she's overjoyed! Syd is such a sweetheart, he's not feed greedy at all, he will let Luca eat his breakfast while he's standing right next to him, dozing

The ones I had, and several I've known, were trying hard to be casted for Mr.Ed....making faces when things got interesting...at feeding time, when waiting to be taken out, and similar occasions. All of them scratched one front leg with the other, folding one leg over and around the other, scratching up and down. Have only seen one other breed horse doing it, in 45 years.

Hmm....I've seen Luca (he's a Standardbred too) do that ONCE but when he was grazing. I think Standies also like playing with water in their troughs because Luca, Syd and the Standie next "door" all love doing that, splashing about in the trough with their muzzles. Fleet the TB never does that....I don't know...maybe it's just the horses' personality....but yeah, Standies do have their own unique traits Gotta love 'em
