Paint horse people, input, please?

Anything notable on these papers?
I know absolutely nothing about Paint horse lines.

Thanks!

Close-up I don't see anything remarkable...
Several generations back there is some nice blood that was something...
https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/lynx+dun+lady
I crossed her over to that link to see what the pedigree shows...
Some very pretty animals and nice builds...
Guess you need to go by what you got in front of you not from what is inherited as a plus with this one.
That is not always a bad thing either..

My neighbors bought her a couple of months ago but don't have the time for her so they are going to sell her.
She's close to 16HH, has a big motor but gentle. She isn't fancy broke but I don't think it would take much to get her that way.

Was just curious if there was anything on her papers that would attract potential buyers if I bought her, cowboyed on her and resold her.

@horselovinguy Thanks for posting the link!

I might bring her to my house and see if she wants to look at a cow. If she does, she might be something to invest in. I was hoping her papers had something attractive.

Nothing up close I recognize but it's been more than a few years since I kept up on the popular lines.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. She does have some cutting horse in her through Docs Lynx so would be worth trying her out. Just because Allbreed doesn't have any info on future generations doesn't mean there was nothing they were good at.

True. The Docs Lynx, foundation QH and running QH names way back was the only thing I recognized.

Recognizable names are pretty far back, but if she's a nice looking mare with a decent temperament, I wouldn't pass her up, especially since she has color. Paints that are decently built and broke (especially ranch broke) are usually an easy sell if they have spots. And while her pedigree is nothing special, mares with a good mind and conformation are sometimes sought as broodmares because you can breed them to nearly anything without doubling up on too many bloodlines. Lady Bugs Moon is a line people like for barrel and ranch horses, and Doc Bar is back far enough you wouldn't have to rule out a double-bred Doc Bar stallion. The mare would be a good outcross on nearly anything depending on how she's built.

If she were closer to me, I'd snatch her up. She's the perfect age, she's got color AND spots, she looks decently put-together in her foal photo so she's probably not a conformational mess, and she's big. All things that are positives in my book, and can be hard to find.
