Just spend as much time with your horse as you can, and start to train him yourself. Look up videos on youtube, go to training clinics if you can. But don't let your cousins influence you, slaughter is THE worst option. As for your cousins have you tried talking to your Aunt of Uncle, maybe you coul explain to them that your trying to train the horse your way, and that it would go a lot smother without your cousins riding him. Either way good luck!

Guys, I think some of you are misunderstanding what the OP means by "reining." She doesn't mean the discipline, she means steering.

Told my dad I was not letting any of them kids ride him because he might be getting confused, and he took it better than I expected. He said I don't ever have to let them ride my horse if I don't want to, and that he's gonna tell my uncle to stop making those kids say stuff about him.

And, to those saying they should hop on their own horses, they're not broken. They're crazy wild and you can't even touch them. I had their mare to where I could rub behind her ears, and one of the kids began to hit her/ scare her, and now she won't come close to me. All that hard work!

Your cousins sound like morons IMO (dont mean to be rude) but if it was me and my horse they were screwing up, theyd be missing teeth. ask them that if theyre SO experienced then why arent they training their own horses then? And how old are they anyways?

My horse didn't even see a saddle until she was 4. I was told repeatedly to auction her, she'd be worth more (when she was younger)

She's still green- she doesn't know everything. Doesn't neck rein really (she's learning), needs work on giving her front. But, all around, she's a great, reliable, smooth, level headed horse. Maybe not exactly show stopping, but good for what I need/want.

Those same people are now eating every word they said about my girl, as I watch them repeatedly getting thrown into the dirt, their horses taking off with them, running them into trees, etc. So... screw 'em.
