Pics For Resale

Okay, I am going to put up my gelding for sale sooner, like this month, and I took some pics of him, what do you think of this one, conformational wise, to put on his ad?

I also put him infront of a solid background, instead of a fence. I hope it helps.

Well, I am no photography expert, but in my opinion, I think the picture would have looked much nicer with a more colorful background, even something as simple as green grass. I think the hay background would've looked better on a more colorful horse. I am just not impressed with the dull color of the hay, with a gray horse. It's just not very eye catching to me. I'm anxious to hear what others say.

From a conformational standpoint, you should try to find a flat surface for him to stand on. He's facing down hill, which is not helping him any.

The bales aren't a great back drop, if you have snow now, then you will have a nice white backdrop, but it can be difficult to right exposure. I agree with the level ground comment.

What are his details?

Thanks guys! And actually, he is on a flat surface, it is the way I am holding the camera that makes it look like he is going down hill. I have others are like this, but might be straighter. I will try getting new ones.

Here are a few others I took of him (not really conformational wise though) and we do have snow, but not much, as it is warming up again and the snow is melting.

This is the ad I am putting up:
Registered AQHA gelding, offered for sale to good home for confident rider. He is 15hh and a stocky build. Broke to ride both English and western and bareback and ready to take in any direction. He has three correct and smooth gaits, can go all day long and is comfortable to ride, and has amazing transitions. He responds well to leg and seat and little rein is needed. Wrangler is UTD on farrier, shots and deworming. He has great ground manners and is great with other horses. He is not pushy at all, and is a gentleman at best. This beautiful dapple grey gelding can be ridden in the fields, alone, or with company, and has been ridden in outdoor and covered arenas also. He is sound and healthy. 3000 OBO.

I have had other people see it, and they think it is good, so I am sticking to it.

Here are the pics:

he is very handsome, I like your ad, but I add his age, I don't see it there. I was just wondering why he needs a confident rider, the rest of the ad makes him sound kind of beginner friendly.

What's his registered name?

His registered name is Dimensional Wrangler. And whoops, I meant to put at the beginning ' 2009 Registered Gelding' He needs a confident rider because he is young, and he needs more miles. He is very well behaved, and has great ground manners, but does have some kinks, like he needs soft hands, and he moves around a little while mounting (but if you stick with him, he gives up within a couple seconds)
