Thumbs down A Plethora of weather I had today to ride in...

Let's see, I rode my first horse at 10 am, freezing cold, slightly above 0C, I worked him for over an hour, a few times the sun came out, so I was warmed up, horse was sweating, so its all good. Got the second horse saddled up, got into the arena, I am riding in a mixture of snow/rain and wind. Then the sun came out again, nice, finished the ride. As I was untacking, the sky opened up with rain, hail and then hard, hard rain. Got horse put away, my farrier showed up and said it's warm & sunny everywhere else except on the top of this mountain where I live. Oh it was all nice and frosty this morning which has got me worried, I have to haul 100 miles to a show this weekend, over a summit, last thing in the world I want is snow. Forecast looks good though but one never can be too sure. Ok, feel free to brag about your hot weather now.

I will not brag about the lovely , balmy, though somewhat windy weather we are currently enjoying here in Maine. Oh no , not me. I am far more considerate that to rub our lovely weather into someone else's face that is dealing with the mixture you are. Besides, our turn is coming very soon!

I did my barn chores today in shorts, tank top, & flip flops if that tells you anything about our weather.

I do admire your grit, though, in riding through those conditions. I'm a sissy, if it's over about 88 or less than 35 degrees, or if it's raining, sleeting, snowing you ain't gonna find my butt in a saddle. Maybe several years ago but not now.
