Possible New Horse!

Unfortunately, I have to sell Lakota simply because I can't afford sending him to the trainer anymore. I found someone who wants to trade him for her red roan Quarter Horse gelding. I'm not sure about his name, but I think he's beautiful! What do you guys think?

I think he's really pretty, does he have the training you're looking for?

Hes a beautiful boy! What kind of training has he had? Hows he different from your current horse?

He's trained for trail riding.
Well, he's broke to ride and he's about 9 years old. I think that his breeding is different, but I haven't seen his pedigree yet. Basically the woman was wanting a palomino horse to break to ride and train for barrels. Lakota was going to be my barrel/pole horse once I got him broke to ride, but I just can't afford to send him to the trainer anymore, so I'm trading him for this beautiful red roan gelding. Apparently she doesn't use this horse for barrel racing because he doesn't have the speed. And that's what I'm looking for..Just something to pleasure ride/do trails on. :)

It sounds like a good trade! Good luck with everything. Hopefully when you go to meet the gelding he's what she says he is. (I love that coloring btw.)

Unfortunately, the deal fell through. :/ Good news: I've decided to keep Lakota! I rode him for the first time yesterday and he did great. He walked a few feet, and when I said "whoa", he stopped and stood still for me to get off. My dad and brother are going to help me break him. :) My brother isn't really a horse person, but he's basically just gonna be there for me in case I fall off or something.
