No, not the one in Dec, that one was just colicing and he is fine now. But yeah, Jackson was my new colt. We don't think his death had anything to do with what had been going on before, it was gas colic that killed him. He was so bloated and all the signs were there when I found him that it couldn't have been anything else. But we are taking a stool sample to the vet to see if we can get any answers about what was wrong with him before because there are so many possibilities out here that we want to make sure and prevent anything happening to my other horse if it is does turn out to be something that's communicable because I couldn't handle losing him, too.

I am so very sorry. **hugs** Prayers sent for peace.
Psalms 22:24 For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.

Psalms 56:8 You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?

Psalms 116:1-2 I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

Thank you so much, Corporal..you have no idea how much that means. It turns out he had hookworms and coliced. What I don't understand is we wormed the crap out of him right after he came.. there should be no possible way he could have gotten any type of worms or there could be any type of worms left in him after we were done. He had been here exactly a month yesterday when he died...only a month.

BR67, We had one that coliced due to worms last year as well and we had wormed them regularly. It baffled the vet and I as well but thankfully he pulled through!
