That is sad news. I know you are having a rough day today, so I will send you a prayer. She must have been wonderful for you to care so much and give her a good home for so long.
Blessings.
Kim, how lucky Cocoa was to have you as her owner. She knew love and kindness, what every horse or animal could or would want. Bless you , and my condolences.
Kim I am so sorry. I put my 31 year old Henry about 3 hours ago. His kidneys were failing. He was my first horse and he taught me so much. Now I am having to watch his pasture mate grieve and not be able help him.
Horses seem to have a way of getting into your heart & soul without ever wanting anything but love in return.
Thank you for the condolences. It was a very hard day indeed. Reading all of your kind words made me start crying again... but inside I know that what you say is true - we were lucky to be together for so long.
Micki, I am very sorry about Henry. I know what you are going through.
Cocoa was my first horse too.
Thank you all. Its really hard to send a horse to Rainbow Bridge but I have visions of Henry grazing in the geenish pasture enjoying life which he was no longer able to do in my pasture.
Kim - Henry really liked mares - he was a bit of a playboy - so I bet he was waiting for Cocoa when she got there. She was beautiful.
