Oh wow! Glad everthing went good. If you dont mind me asking... What did it feel like? Was it like a big air filled bubble? Or kinda watery? Did it hurt her when you thoughed it?

Mass in the pictures was bigger than I was expecting to see. Glad everything went well. Fingers AND toes crossed that the lab results are good and it doesn't EVER come back.

It was solid, wouldn't budge under the skin, and was still growing. And no, it didn't hurt when i touched it. I was checking it twice every day to see if it was growing steadily. I was kind of surprised that the vet told me to go ahead and ride her after he checked it the first time. He did say that it would be better for her and help her heal quicker if she was in shape (instead of just sitting around for a month) before the surgery.

Oh, so it was a ball of hard tissue. Intersting :), thank you for telling me! I get curious about things like this, I even disected a deceased horses hoof to figure out what the inside looked like(she had a HUGE crack that litterally went all the way through the hoof wall-looked like a cow hoof. On the inside where the crack was, it was completely scare tissue. Dont worry, she died of old age.) I guess It is good for my interest in a future carrier as a Veterinarian. Though, broken legs, not my cup of tea. I can handle pretty much anything soft tissue. But I nearly fainted when handling a bunny with a broken leg.

Anyway... I am glad she has a bright future :)
She should be back to pirky in no time!

I don't think I could've done that with the hoof. I did good until after the vet and my friend were gone. Then I went in to the stall and hugged her and cried for about 30 mins...the amount of time he told me to wait until I fed her a little bit. Then got home and tossed my cookies and cried some more. I've been out there every 2 hours to check on her since he got done. Yes, in the middle of the night too. I think this is the cleanest her stall has ever stayed with her in there all the time. She doesn't have much time to stomp everything around when there's only 2 hrs between cleanings...LOL

It was bleeding when I went out there a little bit ago, but he did say that there would be some seepage.
