don't worry she'll make it through, but I'm still going to pray for you both!

A horse can teach a girl courage, if she chooses to grab mane and hang on for dear life.

I know...the tumor had started growing blood vessels. The worst part of it right now is that it's dried up, but the vet told me to keep it dry. I haven't been able to wash it off yet. I'm afraid to try to brush it off because I don't want to risk hitting the stitches or maybe pulling one or two of them.

Sorry for asking again , but you guys think it's ok even though it still weeps a little bit? I just don't want to take any chances whatsoever that it could get infected.

Charli, weeping clear serum is fine. That's just Rosie's body's way of helping things to heal.

As long as the area along the surgery site is healthy, and doesn't look an angry red color or swollen, she should be fine.

I know you're nervous about Rosie. All of us are nervous when there's something wrong with our horses, but it sounds as if she's healing just fine.

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH SR!!!!!!!! I think I'll go back to the shavings this evening. That way I won't have to strip her stall twice a day...don't feel too good with a cracked rib.

LOL...I'm trying. It kind of feels like I've been holding my breath since I found the danged tumor. I'll just be sooooo much happier (and I'm sure she will too) when I'm able to turn her out again.
