Last month, we were having very strong wind storms, one of our shelters fell down, and landed on one of our horses.
Background info: We have had the farm almost 25 years, and this was one of three of the horses we had on there first, he was a awsome horse, Name was Buck, for his color.. and later on his training..
He was able to worm his was out but spooked he ran, when he did this, he leg snapped totaly and he went down.
Mean while, we were treating one of our horses feet, and I was going to hold the feed, but I saw him lying on the ground all glossy, the other horses licking his face. I walked over, only to see his back right leg snapped clean, only a few string of skin holding it on. To skip some of the details, we ended up having to shoot him..
Here is a picture:
Later on a couple of weeks later, one of the horses got its foot wedged in the door, and cut it to the bone. This was his front left, there was ALOT of blood, he is only two years old.. We are still waiting to see if he will be ok..
Here's a picture of HIM:
Not a very good year for this barn..
