I've had mold in feeds many times over the years in the UK and the US - all sorts of brands and generally its down to how they're stored at whatever location you get them from.
You should complain to the store and to the company so they at least know they have a problem somewhere

Purina horse feed and Purina pet feed are two different companies. Just sayin'!

I have feed both Safechoice and Purina horse feeds and never had a problem.

I've fed SafeChoice to my horse before. It was pretty good, however they never had a 'fixed' formula. One bag would be different from the other, always had a problem with that. Not surprised with the mold to be honest. I would contact both the TSC you got it from and Nutrena about it.

We feed SafeChoice and our horses have never looked better, it's recommended by most vets and other equine professionals and so that is what I will stick with. I have had problems getting feed from TSC and it being moldy as well, I don't buy any feed of any sort from there. I got a few bags years ago and it totally infested my barn with spiders. I'd never had a huge problem with spiders until then. Not nutrena fault... That would be TSCs fault I think
