No need for thanks.I was just happy to be on my horse :) and to have the opportunity to do the volunteer work with the mounted patrol. My other half works for the department and he got called out as well, so it was kinda like a date night... Kinda lol.
This was our first missing kid search and it went smoother than I thought. We have ony had the MP division since September, so have only done training and parades so far. My BO is on the MP as well, and when she called me I was in such a hurry to get everything saddled up and ready to go, I put her gaited horse saddle on her paint lol. Oops. I was already at the barn so I had everyone ready to go by the time she got there.
It was an exciting experience. I want to do it again, but at the same time I don't like hearing about missing kids.
It was an autistic boy that had gotten lost, so that heightned everyone's senses a bit.
But he's safe now, and that's all that matters.
