I know what you mean! I was supposed to go see a gorgeous TB mare that was pretty much everything I was looking for too. My parents said we could go look and then when its time to leave their all "noo your not going" It is very annoying. All the advice I can give is to show her how much you really want the horse. Don't overly annoy her about it, though, because that doesn't help, trust me ;) The horse I want it my computer background and on the cover of all my binders at school. Help her with the dishes or something. That way she'll be happier and more willing to go look at a horse with you. Just be nice and polite. something like "Mom, do you think you could contact this horse owner for me?" And make sure to describe the horse to her and how its going to work out. I did this and it worked pretty well for me. We are going to look at an arab in a few days :) good luck!

Keep in mind that your mother is purchasing a horse, and that the financial means required to properly care for said horse are great. Get a job and help pay for this horse if you are old enough. If not, do everything you can around the house [without ever being asked] to show your mom that while you cannot help pay for this horse, you will work very hard for it, and will get a job when you can. Until then, don't pitch a hissy fit because your mom is reluctant to spend thousands and thousands of dollars.

I don't think that the problem is the OP wants the mother to spend the money, its that the mother has said that they will purchase a horse now, and tells the OP to search for horses and get details, but when the OP provides the mother with the details she changes her mind and says she doesn't want a horse.

I don't know what to do. I mean normally I'd try to get an agreement in writing, but most parents don't go for that, mine are just strange.
