show n tell

today i got a notice in my son's back pack aobut show and tell... charlie is 4 and we're not sure what is wrong with him but they have ruled out autism....he really has a hard time talking and can barley put words together...so sending him to school with some thing for show and tell would be heart braking for both him and me.....NOW then it did say he could bring a pet......didn't really clearify what kind of pet!!!.... should i even attemp?.

I don't think having any kiddies riding her is a good idea. There would have to be a lot of waivers signed!

If shes calm you could walk her to the playground, that would be cool, and they could pet her!
garenteed he would be the coolest kid in the class, lol!

My neice had a week all about her at daycare, so I printed off a bunch of pics of her riding Soda and Flame. The kids absolutely loved it and she was the hit of the month. It was kinda funny because the daycare ladies were all surprised when I showed up to pick her up. Apparently they thought she was just telling stories when she talked about the horses.

If you ok it with the school you should be fine, just be careful.

I think it'll be fine if they're pretty well-behaved kids. Just have them line up and maybe pet the horse one at a time... and don't be afraid to pull her away if she acts nervous. I mean you know the horse better than any of us, so I think you can make the judgement ;)

Good luck! Sounds like lots of fun!

I remember when I was in 1st grade someone's uncle played Pawnee Bill at a rodeo/show and he brought his horse (Named "Y" lol) and we all got to ride and we got a horse shoe :) I still have the shoe, and the memory!

Thats what we did for my grandson. Trailered the horse to the playground, and the kids took turns petting him. The old horse loved it, stood and just hung his head and let them pet, touch his mane, etc. Myself and my daughter stood on each side to make sure nobody got crazy and it was a wonderful show and tell.

Id ask the school. That's a huge liability.

Personally I'd just send pictures. Poor fella, I know they are trying to help him communicate through personalization, but i hate to see a child frustrated.
Good luck!
