Show name help

I know others have asked around here before, so my turn.

His name is Scout - I kept the name when I bought him, he was born with it.
He's grade (Morgan/Paso Fino cross). You can see pictures under "horses" in my profile.

We do judged pleasure/trail riding, and I'd also like to try mounted orienteering with him next year, if I can arrange it.

So I was thinking something like
<Something> Scouting Expedition
but I can't come up with a good word to fill in, and I don't really like it without a word on the front.

Any ideas? Do you like the "Scouting Expedition" idea, or is that just silly? Any words you can think of to add to the front of it? Any entirely different ideas?

you could name him What Luck.

A horse can teach a girl courage, if she chooses to grab mane and hang on for dear life.

Ooh I've heard that orienteering is fun.

Here are a few ideas.

True North
Cardinal Direction
Westward Bound
Scout On
Dead Ahead
Back And Forth

And I really love your idea of Scouting Expedition. I think it's fine just like that, without a word in front.

Thanks for the thoughts. I really hate naming things! I'm glad he already came with a decent barn name, so I didn't have to come up with one of those, as well

The orienteering looks like so much fun! My problem is I don't have a truck/trailer, so I have to convince one of my fellow boarders to go. Fortunately a lot of them go to JPRs, so it's usually not tough to hitch a ride to those.

I am bad at names, but where are you in NOVA? I am there too. I ride in Berryville.
If you want to keep scout as part of it, maybe
Confederate Scout
Eagle Scout

Oh yeah, Scout's Honor is cute. I'll have to think about that one a bit more.

TBH, I'd rather stay away from Boy Scout. It's just one of those things that bugs me, every time I tell him "good boy, Scout"... no, not boy scout...

No real reason for it to bug me, but it does.

franknbeans, my barn is in Aldie.
