Thank you. :)
I am excited and also a little nervous now...for a pretty silly reason at that. Lilly's owner will be hauling her to her new home herself, which is generous (we will be paying her gas as she is located about an hour away). She has also expressed a want to see the place for herself...I totally understand, she only wants to know her baby will be getting good care and not stuffed in a quagmire somewhere. At the same time I am a mite nervous that she will not think our digs are "good enough". I mean, it is humble...this is not a barn, but a very large paddock essentially fenced into spacious sections for the horses, and Lilly will have 6,000 sq feet to herself, plus a shelter that we are going to talk to the owners about enlarging, though it is good size at present. She'll be outside, but she'll never have to worry about water freezing and since her owner is blanketing her we will do so throughout the cold months, that is not a problem for the "barn owner". :) The place is clean and the fences are tall, good and strong. The neighborhood is a pleasant one, everyone knows and helps out each other and it looks as if every house has an equine setup of some sort...there is a free public riding arena plus a trainer who breeds arabs just down the road that I will take some lessons from later. It's a nice place.
So I know it'll be ok, but then again I am still nervous she may not like it for whatever reason...the owner seems really protective of her horses, which is a GOOD thing don't get me wrong, I only hope we will be up to her standards...she did tell us when we looked at Lilly that there was a man who was also interested and he had a barn and a stall
(yes, she put an emphasis on stall here)...but the shelter and the huge area she'll get to wander about in is the same thing...I hope? That's what most horses around here have at any rate.
Gosh I am being retarded about this, worrying over nothing...I've wanted a horse for as long as I can remember...Saturday can not come soon enough! I am praying it'll all go smoothly. We'll be buying her some things on Fri...like a nice halter and matching lead rope. We were thinking purple plaid, or a nice emerald green or candy apple red...lol! Can't wait.
And I am baking some horse cookies this week to have handy for her as well.
Apologies for the longness...typing this out helps calm my nerves lol.
