Im 5'4" and ride a 15 3hh mare who is stout (full QH bar). She is a 2-3" too tall I think. It's hard to get on her for me. I would recommend 14 to 15hh and no taller

If the horse was 12.1 hands, that might feel small. 14 hands would be ok. I'm around 5'10 and here's me on one of our rescued mares. I think she's about 13.1 hands. My legs do hang a little low but not bad. So if you feel comfortable on him, go for it.

Alright thank you all so much. I'll see if my father is willing to take me to see them soon. Hoping this summer, if they are still for sale. We only have about til late May, then we get out of school. Wish me luck! I shall keep everyone updated. I might have a few other questions, but I may not be on til around May... although I'll make it work.
