Thats it, im moving south!

Its mid-december. Its 20* with a windchill of 4*. My farm is on top of a mountain, so that means its really a windchill of about 0* or below. The ground is frozen. Everything is frozen. The wind is brutal. Its been this way the past week or so...cold and windy. Its almost as though january-march is happening in december. If that is indeed the case, fine...but those 3mos should be decent. If it werent windy, it would be semi-bearable. Our ring is bluestone, and its almost like concrete now. Cant work horses, cant do squat. So, ive decided to become a goose and head south for the i just have to figure out how to fund it.

Anyone else hating the mid-atlantic weather lately?

Haha, i can only imagine! It would be nice to do what a lot of trainers do, head south for the winter, north for the summer. It seems to work for them.

I haven't ridden in a week because the snow is covering a nice layer of icy slick frozen mud. I'm hoping this ends early because it began early and we have nice sunny weather at the beginning of March.

100% Anti-Slaughter and PROUD of it!

We are drowning in incessant rain, rivers flooding and endless gray skies and wind. YUCK!
