Things to do between training sessions

Do you guys know of anything I could do with my horse between training sessions? Like games, ground work, obstacle courses, Ect. My horse trainer comes twice a week, and I do spend some time grooming him and hanging out with him until the next session, also we are just a few weeks away from me being able to ride him independently. Thanks!

i have no idea what i am doing

In all honesty? At this point, if you are not able to ride independently, I would be concerned that anything you do on the ground might backfire and make problems for you.

When you work with horses but know little? The horse may begin to take advantage of you in ways that you don't realize are creating a problem. Disrespect, crowding, undesirable behaviors. All of that can make some major problems under saddle.

Groom, but all of the game playing and exercises? I'd leave alone until you have a better grasp on what you are doing and on how to read horses.

Horses make me a better person.

Talk him for walks. Seriously. I have a two year old pony I can't ride, so I take him on walks. He likes it, it's like a little adventure for him, and I get some exercise. I saw a woman on a busy road the other day walking her horse so it must be catching on!
