Thanks so much for all the input. I don't mean to criticize a person who lets their horse go out on a trial but there are so many risks involved. It seems an act of desperation to let your special horse go out with strangers to some far away place with so little comittment on their part. I guess it is a buyer's market and with so many horses for sale, buyers can demand and get just about anything. I don't care. I'll keep my horse indefinitely before I let him go out on trial. The demand to take his personal check was absurd. Buyers!!!! So frustrating!!! I never demanded a trial or to pay with a personal check for a horse. Maybe the next buyer will be better. Sigh.
