Would it be possible to have the instructor talk to your mom and explain that the pony didn't buck? Obviously the pony didn't do it out of meanness and maybe hearing that from someone else will help. I'm sure Dana will be fine and have a full recovery. Don't beat yourself up to much over the accident...those kinds of things happen.
