Vida is a freak of nature

I was putting Vida's bit in a few days ago and noticed what I thought was a sore gum. On closer inspection I discovered it was an actual tooth. I came in and googled horse teeth and found out that all males but only 23% of females have whats called tushes or canine teeth. She is passed due to get her teeth floated so I guess they had always been filed down before. I snapped a photo of it, its just behind the front teeth if you can't tell.
Anyone else have a mare with extra teeth?

All three of my mares had them, but my vet just pulled them the first time we had their teeth floated.

I assumed they had been filed down. I can't imagine that they just erupted recently. She gets her teeth floated every year. I wonder why the vet never pulled them hmmmm Could they have just come out? she is 10 years old. I read they come out at around 6

I'm not sure because blue is 10 and I JUST got his pulled last week. I can't imagine we've missed it all these years. and a friend of mine had her mares wolf teeth pulled at about the age of 10, she started having head bobbing issues and I remember she had a huge argument over it because people kept telling her the mare couldnt have them. I didn't realize it was becasue they just don't get them... or I mean, that it was so rare.
