WDYT of these guys?

Hi everyone! I am currently looking for a horse to eventually compete in low level dressage and hunters, and possibly do some gymkhana as well. I've been riding my entire life, but when my husband and I moved to Florida 3 years ago I left my mare behind with my mom to retire and haven't ridden since. I am so excited to be getting a horse again.

We will definitely be getting a pre-purchase exam prior to making a final purchase. I will be working with a fantastic dressage trainer/instructor for a year or two depending on the horse and then eventually find a hunter trainer/instructor to work with as well.

I really like the looks of this mare, but she was listed less than a month ago for 3k. I wonder if maybe she failed a vet check or something?
*~*~*check out this mare!! A must!!! 5 yrs old 15.o prep for show

Maybe it's just the way he's standing, but does his left hind pastern look off to you?

I had to ask the owner three times (in email) if he had ever had any injuries or lameness issues, and they finally said "not that we know of."
Gorgeous APPENDIX horse - Very FLASHY - Gentle and Quiet

This is just the beginning of my search. There are a ton in our area in our price range.

Very hard to tell from the pics if any of these will be able to compete in what you want. Especially hunters and dressage. If I had to choose one of the three most likely to succeed in those disciplines, I would choose the TB. If you want gymkhana more, I would go for the first one. Same for trails, etc.

I really think the left rear pastern issue is angle combined with the boots on him.

Every horse does NOT have the ability to jump and compete in hunters. I have one. Jumps really UGLY, but is great at other things. You won't know until you see them, IMO.

I like the first one. Seems like her people put a lot of time and effort into her ad which means they probably care.

100% Anti-Slaughter and PROUD of it!

I just got off the phone with the owner of the first one and she said she very recently had an injury to her fetlock and is lame.

I thought the middle horses pasterns were abnormally long. The 3rd horse is a looker and I don't like apps.
