weird....

My horse really liked to walk up (you know, on an outride when you don't have a tight rein but she wants to get home quick and you won't allow her to trot?) and i always hear people complaining about their horse not walking up, but my aunt (who is a riding instructor) said to keep her at a slow walk, on the bit, because a fast walk is bad for her bone structure... That made no sense to me at all, so i always let her walk up unless i told her otherwise. Anyways, what do you guys think?

Is it hard ground?

maybe she means bone splints-- i always like to ask questions about other peoples points of view so i can understand their way of thinking and their methods better.
