Weird neck thing - normal?

Okay so probably a stupid question but I was watching a video of a lesson I had a couple of weeks back and when Ninja was putting his head down there's this thing sticking out, I'm assuming it's like a muscle or tendon or something. But it doesn't show up with any of our other horses? Or any horse I've seen for that matter?
I was thinking, maybe if it is a tendon (or ligament? I still don't know the difference) it could be that cos' his neck still doesn't have much muscle, it shows up more than on other horses? I dunno though.

Anyway my question is first of all, what do you think it is? And also if it'll be there forever? Not that I care unless it's hurting him, I'm just curious.

I couldn't get a good screenshot but here's a video, it happens at around 0:20 + at 0:48 a bit.

It's a muscle. There's different bands of muscles in the neck so when he flexes his head down the top one becomes more prominent. Nothing to be worried about.
Foxhunter and ClearDonkey like this.

It’s just a muscle. I really good muscle! It means his head is flexed and soft (like you see with dressage horses)!
