I'm sorry :( It is always hard to say goodbye to your best friends when you have to leave, I had to do it and so has many others in the same situation.

I believe our horses choose us, and I also believe that horses know their purpose, whatever it may be - and Zeus knew he'd be with you for a short period of time, but he also knew that you needed him. Now that his time is up with you, another needs him, and I believe he knows that.

I wish you all the best.

Thank you MIE. It's been great having your advice and support along the way, and you definitely played a part in helping Zeus and I become a team.

I give myself very good advice, But I very seldom follow it

Ugh. I keep wavering between being okay and not being okay at all.
This is hard.

Venting here because you guys will understand. Some real life friends can't quite grasp how I feel about it.

Awwww...I'm going to miss all of your Zu posts Atleast he has a good owner, and you are close enough to visit him. Maybe she won't sell him until you are out of college, and you can get him back.

I'm so sorry hun. I can't imagine what you must be going through. I know so many people who are selling their horses because they can't afford the horse and school, but you're the only one that I genuinely wish it had worked out for. I'm very glad to see that you aren't ranting about how "no one can love him/ride him like I can," at least you can be a mature adult about it. Just remember that everything happens for a reason, and that if you and Zu are meant to be, you will be reunited. Good luck finding a job around school that would allow you to afford him. Fingers crossed. =]

Your making me want to cry too. I have to give up my pony I've been leasing since last August at the end of the month.
I'm going away to college and
1. Can't afford to pay for him while in school
2. Am going to school 3 hours away.
I've been just part leasing him with his owner since she came home from school in May and I've been able to kind of help in making the advertisement, and come and watch when people come to try him. I think that's kind of helping me since I feel like I kind of have a part in it and will be able to get to know the person who will be leasing him. It's still hard none the less.

Sorry that there is nothing we can do to make it not hurt. Hugs.

It always sucks when doing what is best hurts so freaking much.

I'm sorry to hear this :( Unfortunately saying goodbye is a big part of horses, but it never gets easier. Good luck with college, just get yourself through it knowing that once you're done and get a good job out of it, you will be able to buy your own Zeus horse :)

Thanks you guys! I'm doing okay, and keeping super busy.
I will be able to visit him if I wish as he'll only be 2 hours away, and I have friend who I want to visit in the same town.

I'll be sure to update you all with pictures when I get them!
