Sundance is a flaxen chestnut and has havana tack, I like brown tack personally, I feel like its more traditional.
Bella is dark bay and has black tack because that's what my parents liked for her.

Chestnut horse. With dark oil (almost black) bridle, with a bit of bling, with purple reins. And a dark oil saddle. His halter is black, and his saddle pad is checkered red and black.

I have a bay TB, and he has a dark brown bridle with lime green padding on his cavesson, and light blue padding on the brow band (we also have a brow band with green crystals, but I'm not using it for regular riding/schooling at the moment).

I have a dark brown saddle in a similar color as the bridle, but it doesn't fit. :( However, I'm hoping to purchase a lighter colored saddle, possibly tonight. I freaking love my bridle, so I will deal with the mismatching tack if I have to, but I will probably buy a matching show bridle if this light saddle works out.

Sour is a driving horse so her tack is all black simply because its traditional. I do have a brown 'crap bridle' for her though, and I actually like the way it looks on her better xD

If she were a full sized horse though, I would definitely go for a brown dark oil saddle and headstall though, with purple everything else, a bit like this! XD (sorry, I was playing horsey dress up with her. ahahaha. The headstall pictured is her crap bridle)

If it were possible, I'd totally buy her a purple harness...

Havana brown dressage saddle oiled to dark chocolate. I made my stirrup leathers to match, and when I buy a bridle/reins, they will also be dark brown to match. I ride all colors of horses. My saddle just happened to be brown, so I make/buy the rest of my tack to match. As for my saddle pads though, I tend to stick to neutral colors. Tan/Grey/Black (yes, I use a navajo saddle blanket with my dressage saddle) looks good on most horses.

Think of it not as a failure but as a success in how not to do it.

Don't look in a horses mouth for a gift.
