What do these ears say to you?

This picture itself is nice, but I was just given it by my friend(who didn't want her face all over the internet) and this horse looks ****ed off to me.. or bored. I tried to include his eye, which tells me "sleepy", but his ears say ****ed more than anything.

So what do its ears say to you?

not enough info. could be ****ed, but more likely bored, or mildly irritated.

To me he just looks relaxed (maybe annoyed but not too much) and like he's listening to what's around him. I know that's what my horses do with their ears/eyes when they're like that. Couldn't really make anything detailed out of it because of the size/cropped out part.

I'm guessing bored or maybe annoyed. I probably wouldn't call it completely ****ed of.

Without seeing the rest of the picture to see the body language its hard to say if the horse is annoyed or not. The horse could just be relaxed.

He could be slightly bothered - his eyes aren't large or angry, so I don't think he would be ****ed.
Maybe next time could you get a side view for a better photo? Ears and eyes? Thanks :)

Yeah I was worried the cropped image wouldn't provide enough detail for you guys to judge - but I had to respect what she asked of me when I asked if I could post it online. In the photo my friend was holding his face toward the camera as per direction of the photographer, so for the 30-seconds it took to snap a few pictures he couldn't freely move his head. He was later rewarded with an apple slice.. if that helps any.

"carrots for me, how nice"

hard to tell really ears are a constant moving thing, one back and one forward when riding means they are listening and thinking, anything else depends on the situation and whether they are pinned back or not.

Nope, not ****ed. Maybe sleepy or a little bored.

I don't see ****ed at all, just relaxed and sleepy. Nothing to be concerned about.
