What do we assume about each other?

So, all these posts are going around about "who we are off the forum" and I thought it would be fun to do the exact opposite.

We can only judge members by what they have posted here, so what are our perceptions of each other?

Post what you know/assume the members are like. For example: their age, horses, experience level, special talents, breeds/disciplines, & your overall thoughts on the person.

You can do the person before you, or someone random if you don't know enough about them or haven't seen them around before.

We'll see how this goes..
Have fun! :)

To be honest, this thread sounds a bit dicey to me. It may have people saying things about others that could be hard on the feelings. I don't know, just has a potential to go awry.

I have to agree with tinyliny. It seems a bit dicy to just judge any random person on the forum. If you wanna do this type of thread i suggest you only talk about people who've stated it is okay. I know I for one don't want people judging me when they know nothing about who I really am. JMO

I think, based on the responses, perhaps it would be best to repost this, possibly as a game (Games section), and say that it can ONLY be done about the poster above (that way by posting you are giving permission to be judged)

If you can try and keep it positive and friendly maybe it would work. This is my assumption: a lot on here are young, lease, are english riders, show, jumpers, own draft/crosses, or TBs, have horses boarded, have many issues with boarding/BOs, many call horses 14hh and under ponies, have trainers and issues with trainers, seem to have horse health concerns, things I've never heard of, are very perfect when it comes to grooming. None of which is terrible to me. I learn a lot from these things. I am just a backyard horse owner with none of these except my horse is boarded but on family property and can relate to some issues. I'm not rich at all, can't keep up with the bills but still own horses. I guess if it ever came to a place to live and keeping my horses I would give up my horses as I have a family to look after.

I make the assumption that if I were to meet any one off here we would hit it off.
I would finaly have one to speak horse to.
I also assume many of you on here are experiancing what I am, ending school, having relationships and whatnot

I'm sorry, I didn't think about the potential for rude behavior, I just thought it'd be fun to see how everyone comes off to each other.

Everyone judges each other whether we're aware of it or not.

Okay, so how about ONLY the person above you, and when you post here you are giving permission for people to post about you. Or if you all think this is a bad idea, we just won't do it at all.

It's not bad if people can be confident enough in themselves to not mind how they come across. If someone tells me they thought I was an obnoxious child because of how I acted towards them, that's their perception and I know I can be that way!

Eliz, I honestly don't know you a much to have developed a perception. I know you work with Arabs, and from that alone I've always respected you, haha! You've always come across as pretty blunt and honest, so I get the impression you're a young adult who's worked with horses a good chunk of your life and is a fairly good rider - you may need some help in problem areas, but you can handle most horses competently. I'd say you're in your 20's?

Interesting that "mbender" seems to think lots of people are English riders, it was my assumption that most people on here ride western style and own Quarter Horses. Although there are a few TBs around. Funny how each person sees different aspects to the same forum :P

I also tend to presume most people are my age or slightly younger/older, and I am always surprised to see a 14 year old or a 30 year old on here - but in real life I tend to assume everyone is my age too!

Also I assume everyone is American...

And I assume everyone is nice
